Wednesday 28th January computing lesson

Year 2 were using computer programmes to investigate data. One activity asked the children to pretend to be researchers for a data bank. They had to collect data about favourite sweet flavours so the company would know which flavours to put in its boxes. They represented their data as a tally, block graphs and pictograms.
Max from Bramble said he enjoyed learning through playing games!

Class Thistle and Bramble - if you would like to have a go at home the website is

We have been thinking about newspaper reports this week as part of our Claude in the City book. We have talked about newspaper headlines.
What do headlines tell you?
Can you read some newspaper headlines in a newspaper at home?
What do you think the report will be about?
You might like to cut out and bring some headlines into school to show other children.
