Festival of Learning.

Well done class Thistle and Bramble for your great projects. Through your fund raising you have made over £110.00, which will go to the charity Rainforest Concern. That's amazing!
 This charity allows you to sponsor acres of the Rainforest, offering protection from deforestation.

Class Bramble have raised some extra money to buy a small sapling to plant in our school field. Well done!



Recorder Concert.

The festival of learning started with a fantastic recorder concert, where all Year 2 children were included. It sounded beautiful. Well done everyone, we are very proud of all of you.

Amazing Esme.

Esme heard a sound.

We used a series of questions to up level this simple sentence.

What kind of sound?

When did it take place?

What did it sound like?

Where was it coming from?

How did it make her feel?

(short, effective sentence)

These are some of our amazing sentences - 

When it was Midday and Esme and her 3 cousins were gold mining, they heard a sniffing sound coming from the direction of the way they came. They started to giggle.
