Maths day 25.2.15

We started the day by reading a book called The Greedy Triangle. We then talked about 2D shapes and how we could make patterns by using tesselllation. Can you remember what this means?
Emma from Bramble said "Tessellation is where you stick shapes together so there's no gaps."

We experimented with tessellating shapes in the classroom and in the afternoon we went to the ICT suite and investigated Tessellation on the computer.

Ava from Bramble said "This was a bit difficult but you could try it at home so you can get better."
The website you need is 'Tessellation town.'

Ben from Bramble said "Make sure there's no gaps with the puzzle pieces as you go along."

Vladimirs from Bramble said " The houses were tricky because there was always a gap at the end of the row."

Can you find  2 different shapes that tessellate?
