Orienteering

Today, we went orienteering. First of all we were given a map so and had to identify different parts of the school grounds. We found the school, the field, the playground and the reception area. When we looked at the map we noticed there was different numbers written all over it. We discovered that these numbers where the places we needed to find and we were looking for letters. To help us, we were given clues.

After this we had to explore the school grounds to try and collect all 15 letters.

After half an hour, we had to use the letters to make the highest scoring words that we could make.

The longest word that we made was dolphins and it scored 63 points!

Tomorrow we will be making our own orienteering maps and tested Bramble class.
